5 Reasons Personal Training Is Right For You

You’ve got some specific goals for your workouts. You want to get stronger, get fitter, work on body composition, or just plain feel better and healthier. Whether you can make out the next road sign clearly or it still feels a million miles away, personal training is a great way to carve out an individual, complete focus on your progress. To that end, here are 5 reasons personal training may be the perfect choice for your gym time right now:

Group Classes Are Intimidating

We get it — some people just don’t like working out in a group. That’s why we have multiple service offerings – our goal is to help everybody, no matter your need. Being in a one-on-one or small group environment is beneficial because the Coach can focus on just you. They can provide constant attention to your technique and correct you as you work away at your workout.

You’re Restarting Your Fitness Journey After a Hiatus or an Injury

Think about it–when you go to physical therapy after an injury or surgery, you’re seen individually. Your clinician needs to do baseline evaluations, establish a rapport, build trust, and begin to move you through your rehabilitation plan with singular focus. Why should a new workout routine be any different? You’re looking to reclaim old territory or chart some new paths, and an individual relationship with one of our professional coaches is the absolute best way to begin taking those first few steps.

You Have a Specific Goal or Time-Limited Goal

Right now I’m training an athlete who wants to gain some strength and put on size before he begins academy training in the fall. We have two months, so time is short and we need to focus on a wholly individualized program to make sure his training does what he wants it to do. Whether it’s a race, a weightlifting meet, or maybe even an upcoming birthday–if you’ve got something unique that you need to get done, personal training ensures the focus and specificity your goal requires.

You Need Flexibility With Your Schedule

We work with small-business owners, first responders, shift workers, and many folks who aren’t able to commit to group sessions at specific times. Missed workouts lead to frustration and feeling like you aren’t making a smart investment with your time and money; individually scheduled sessions, however, ensure that we’re coaching you at just the right time for your schedule. You’re not hidebound to classes that start on the half-hour or hour; if we need to, we can do a 1-1 session from 10:25 to 11:25, or be creative with duration. Rescheduling can also be done quickly and easily, and the result is a training routine that fits into your life, not the other way around.

You See The Higher Value Personal Training Provides

Many of our athletes can tell us with specificity just how much working out adds to their daily lives. Over the years we’ve heard stories about increased focus at work, more energy at home and with the kids, races won, achievements unlocked, and the simple peace of mind that comes with having emptied yourself into your workout. That last bit is crucial: the clearer thinking and somatic ease that results from a great training session very often pays huge, immediate dividends. While I can’t put a specific price on how much more present in my life I may feel after an individual workout, for instance, I do know its value is immense.

If one or more of these items makes complete sense to you, it may be the perfect time to try out some personal training. Our coaches are ready to help–all you have to do is reach out to start that conversation by booking a free No-Sweat Intro!
